Granny's old tea & dinner service!
Its nothing special with little financial value but it has sentimental value for us. We inherited it and like it and would like to add some pieces to make it more useable and to replace items that became broken and worn over the years.
We have hunted high and low even tried several china matching services with no success. We enjoy looking for it wherever we go To date we have found none at all! It is marked
"Royal Staffordshire Pottery" & "Wilkinson Ltd England"
HAMPTON AND SONS LTD LONDON
Our enquiries so far show :-
This Edwardian service was made by Arthur J Wilkinson Ltd manufacturer of earthenware and ironstone, mainly for the US market at the "Royal Staffordshire Pottery" at the Central Pottery Burslem or the neighbouring Newport Pottery. The back stamp was used from C.1910 until the 1930. It is an earthenware body The artist, designer, lithograph / pattern name remain unknown.
Wilkinsons were bought by Midwinter's who later merged with Meakins. Along with Midwinter & Claris Cliff they were all swallowed by Wedgwood. Not all pattern records remain? The Reg. no. 533148 (shape?) was registered in 1908 We think the pattern (lithograph?) may be 7304 41 (circa 1920) We think Hamptons were an old Knightsbridge store. We are beginning to think it's a lost cause. Perhaps you know better……….???

Someone must have some somewhere - even just an odd piece!
We are interested in reasonably priced single or multiple items in this pattern. Ideally we would like to find at least three complete place settings and hopefully more including some additional items like tureens, a teapot, jugs etc…...
But in fact anything! If you know the whereabouts of any pieces like this, please get in touch ...thanks and have fun!
